On the 22nd of February, 2022, Founding Day was declared a formal holiday in all sectors announced by His Royal Highness King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Founding Day marks the establishment of the first Saudi state in 1727 in Diriyah.

Nejnaj Jeddah
Nejnaj is a festival that is known to hold multiple activities to celebrate this special day including traditional markets where you will find Saudi Coffee, Ardah performances, you will also find different fashion shows, and more. This festival is also known to take place in 14 different cities in the country.

Founding Day parade
We are definitely looking forward to this Founding Day Parade! This year, the parade will host fireworks, live performances highlighting the saudi music and rhythm, and more! Where will it be? It will be held at the Jeddah Fountain.

The Jeddah Corniche will be lit with a light show that will be shining above the fountain. As the light show is on, the Saudi flag will be highlighting and complimenting the fountain.
Al Liwan
The cultural Al Liwan is an event that is held in honor of this special day with its array of traditional markets, the interactive exhibitions, cultural seminars, and historical theatrical performances.
