The popular British fish and chips place finally opened in Jeddah.
The grand opening night of Harry Ramsden’s was an evening spent well. Great music, amazing company and some exciting menu items kept us entertained.
The Ambiance
The restaurant is very dynamic with their seating arrangements and lighting. With various seating areas and styles, you’ll surely find something that suits your mood. We sat in a booth that gave us a view of the restaurant and let us enjoy our own private area at the same time.
The welcome
Our welcome including a tall glass of Sparkling Rose, a refreshing drink that is sure to wake up your senses with its tangy aftertaste.
The Appetizers
Our meal had a great start with the appetizers. In Harry’s Shared Platter, the chicken wings were the right amount of spice and we liked that they were not dry at all. We also enjoyed the crispy calamari and battered shrimps, but a personal favorite was the melted mozzarella sticks – the cheese was perfect! We enjoyed a chicken ceaser salad on the side.
The Seafood
The al dente seafood pasta had a creamy sauce that went well with the shrimps, salmon and mussels.
Harry’s Famed Cod and Chips
The crispy codfish combined with mushy peas and tartare sauce was a good combination. Spicy food lovers may want to upgrade the flavor by adding more sauce.
Chicken Breast with Rice
The chicken breast was served on a plate of rice and crowned with a variety of boiled vegetables like broccoli and carrots.
Desserts
The desserts at Harry Ramsden’s wowed us. The sticky toffee pudding was excellent and extra delicious with the scoop of vanilla ice cream. We also loved the Royal Brownie, which was rich and warm enough to make you order another one!
Drinks
Harry Ramsden’s has an impressive selection of drinks. For summertime we definitely recommend the lemon and mint concoction.
Overall our experience was great. The seafood pasta stood out along with the desserts. We’re definitely going back for more.
