If you know me well, then you probably know I’m a health freak. So yes, I eat a healthy and balanced diet but let’s be honest, who doesn’t love dessert and treats? I’m pretty sure you too add indulgences here and there. But the question is how to indulge and truly enjoy your food without feeling guilty? It was difficult finding healthy guilt-free desserts in Riyadh, but here’s what I found:

1. Guilt-free Ice-cream

Do you want to enjoy your ice-cream without having to worry about gaining an extra pound? Then opt for frozen yogurt, they’re healthier, and lower in fat and sugar than regular ice cream. 2. Energy Balls

Energy balls are the perfect healthy snack option to boost your energy; they’re just the best healthy reward after your workout. You can make your own at home, or order these from Greens. They come in a good selection of flavors/ingredients while each flavor has its own intended benefits. I love the fact that you can count the number of ingredients in these balls on one hand, and they don’t have any fillers, unpronounceable ingredients or artificial flavor or sweeteners, this was a big plus for me tbh.

3. Chocolate Fondue

Everything is better dipped in chocolate! Just watching fresh colorful cubed fruits being dipped in melted chocolate brings real pleasure, so rich and deep that even thinking about it brings you shivers of excitement and delight. 4. Crepe

Crepe is a treat that can be enjoyed any time of the day. Those who follow a low carb/high protein diet, but miss pancakes and waffles, can still enjoy them as they are relatively low in fat & because they are quite thin, they tend to be low in calories too. All you have to do is choose your fillings & toppings wisely. I’d recommend strawberry banana crepe topped with caramel sauce. This is one to make your toes curl.
