Abdul Latif Jameel Motors and the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) have joined forces to introduce the Gazoo Racing (GR) Saudi Driving School. This initiative aims to discover talented drivers in Saudi Arabia and provide them with a platform to develop their skills and pursue careers as professional racers. With an emphasis on youth empowerment, the driving school offers aspiring racers aged 18 to 26 the opportunity to showcase their abilities across various disciplines. The top four drivers selected from the program will represent the GR Saudi Team in the upcoming season of the Saudi Toyota Championship.
Abdul Latif Jameel Motors, renowned as the authorized distributor of Toyota vehicles in Saudi Arabia, and SAMF proudly announce the launch of Gazoo Racing Saudi Driving School. This program serves as a platform to identify exceptional Saudi talent for the upcoming Saudi GR Team and nurture their skills across four thrilling disciplines: Time Attack, Drift, Autocross and Hill Climb. Talents once discovered, the driving school will work on empowering the youth and enabling them to unlock their full potential in the world of motorsport.
The GR Saudi Driving School is now open for registration, welcoming young Saudi men and women aged 18 to 26 who have a passion for motorsports. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their abilities during the five-day program held in Jeddah. The driving school’s objective is to identify promising drivers, help them refine their skills, and guide them towards becoming professional racers.
Applicants must demonstrate their motorsport knowledge and passion through an application, once submitted, 60 individuals will be chosen for further evaluation, including a personal interview, a rigorous fitness test and a drive and safety examination.
The selected 60 participants will receive training from renowned driving instructors during the five-day training. Through intensive courses and practical sessions, these aspiring racers will acquire the essential skills and knowledge necessary to compete at the highest level. Following the driving school, the final four exceptional drivers will be chosen to represent the GR Saudi Team in the upcoming season of the Saudi Toyota Championship. Equipped with cutting-edge GR vehicles such as the Yaris GR, GR 86, and Supra, these talented individuals will have the tools needed to excel in their respective disciplines.
