STEAM Festival 2024

STEAM which stands for science, technology, engineering, arts, and Maths is an event catered for those with a aim to learn and reach for the stars.

In a one-of-kind interactive experience, where education and entertainment come together, the STEAM Festival welcomes its visitors to discover the secrets of chemistry and petrochemicals. It allows audiences— students, families, and young people alike— to engage with uplifting Saudi success stories, fostering their interest and skills in science. With over 25 different stations beaming with scientific shows and hands-on activities.

The festival is divided into four zones:

1. The Future, which contains four sub-zones: Becoming aware of how to take care of our environment for the sake of our future is becoming exceedingly more important, and this section illustrates it with clarity! 
2. Opportunities: Delve into the opportunities offered in education, research and development, innovation, and jobs and entrepreneurship in chemistry and the petrochemical sector. 
3. The Past, which contains six sub-zones: The history of chemistry is vast and intriguing, and you can see it all here! Discover also the fundamental role of Arab scientists and how oil resources were found. 
4.  The Present, which contains eight sub-zones: Discover the technologies that transform crude oil into all the things we use every day, like gasoline and plastics, and uncover how to make it more sustainable. 

The STEAM festival is located in King Salman Science Oasis, King Abdallah Street, Riyadh and is open until September 30th, from 8 AM – 1 PM and 4 PM – 9 PM everyday!

GAIN Summit

Arriving as the primary platform for evolving the global discussion on artificial intelligence, the Global AI Summit will bring forth forward-thinking experts, academics, corporates, and policymakers from all over the world. A cultural center in Riyadh centered on a historical landmark, Fenaa Alawwal (FAA) provides a space for community gatherings rich in cultural events, such as art exhibitions, panels, and workshops. It invites creative thinkers to engage in conversation about art and culture to spark creativity and inspiration.

In FAA, you can explore the Sculpture Garden. Some of the unique pieces we’ve loved were:

1. The Palm and the Sun by Egyptian artist Naji Farid, a piece reflective of Bedouin culture.

Coming to you on September 17th until September 19th is Index, an event showcasing the essence of the Interior and Fit-Out Industry in Saudi Arabia. It is the only event in which you can find products from both local and international manufacturers. 

With nearly 800 exhibitors and the chance to connect with designers, architects, and fellow buyers, you’ll be sure to have an eventful day!

Hotel and Hospitality Expo

Consistently convening for over a decade in the Hotel and Hospitality expo are first-rate businesses. As the focus on creating a more diverse environment through travel and tourism, as aligned with the Kingdom’s 2030 Vision, increases, the hospitality industry has witnessed a considerable expansion. This expo is your ultimate chance to build long-lasting connections with over 750 exhibitors from all over the world, including Casaroveo, Alhayat Investment Co., and Bognovo. 

We’re especially excited about meeting the designers who can make anyone’s visions come to life! There will be 60+ experts speaking directly to you.

Foodex

Coming on the 17th of September until the 19th is Foodex, a convention and exhibition dedicated to the food and drink industry. It is Saudi Arabia’s leading International Trade exhibition.

Here’s some of its highlights!

1. New Opportunities: You can connect with over 15k visitors from the food and drinking sectors as well as stay updated about new developments in the industry. 
2. Government Support: There will be a great number of Saudi government representatives. 

National Day Cup

And finally, as the national day approaches, so does the National Day Cup. Since 1965, King Khalid Racecourse in Taif has hosted live horse racing. With no exception, there will be another event on the 25th of September. 

Enjoy a warm summer night, where you can watch the race for free with exclusive trackside views and food trucks! Gates open at 2:45 pm and close at 9 pm.
