The Saudi capital is no stranger big names launching even bigger flagship stores. Just last year, the capital city welcomed the D&G luxury boutique in Diriyah’s Bujairi Terrace.
Now Riyadh has become home to another jaw-dropping fashion space, the Balenciaga flagship store.
Not only is the new store located in Riyadh’s swish new mall Solitaire, it is also the world’s biggest flagship store for the brand. Talk about impressive.
Inaugurated recently, the brand’s expanding presence is a testament to the Kingdom’s growing influence on the fashion industry.

The historic French brand has a storied past that began in 1919 when Spanish couturier Cristóbal Balenciaga opened his first boutique in San Sebastian. The Spanish royal family and aristocracy were regular patrons of the visionary designer.
During the Spanish civil war, Cristóbal was forced to move to Paris kicking off the brand’s modern history. Since becoming a French luxury brand under Kering, the fashion house has started producing ready-to-wear shoes, handbags, and accessories. The brand helped shaped the modern fashion scene with Cristóbal playing mentor to Count Hubert James Marcel Taffin de Givenchy of Givenchy.

As mentioned earlier, the new store is located in Riyadh’s newest luxury mall, Solitaire mall in As Sahafah.

You can pick up the latest chic pieces to complete your look from 10am to 11pm from Saturday to Thursday with the mall opening from 2pm on Sundays.
What to expect of the Balenciaga Riyadh flagship store
The Balenciaga store, which is 483 square meters in size, keeps its distinctive industrial edge. You are greeted by an area with concrete walls, aluminum screens, and LED lights as soon as you enter. The motif is further enhanced by the grey color scheme, which contrasts with metal tables, leather upholstery, and velvet curtains.
Balenciaga’s special VIC (Very Important Customer) room is located on the main floor. For appointments for personal style and custom shopping, this private location provides a cozy setting.
The Balenciaga store brings the brand’s heritage and elegance to the Kingdom with its carefully chosen assortment of ready-to-wear clothing, accessories, jewelry, eyewear, and even pieces that are unique to the region. You can anticipate purchasing limited-edition items and statement pieces that are exclusive to Saudi Arabia.
