The hotline number, formerly the unified number for the General Directorate of Passports, has been reassigned as an emergency contact in an effort to help passengers ease their transition and travel during the developing situation in the Middle East, according to a report by the Saudi Gazette.
Unified number for stranded GCC nationals

The Saudi Ministry of Interior took to X, formerly Twitter, to announce a unified hotline number for stranded travelers across Saudi Arabia following major flight disruptions.
The passengers have also been advised to visit the operations department at the airport passport area for assistance.
The number has been unveiled for the reception and well-being of GCC nationals and citizens as they are hosted and accommodated at Saudi airports.
The move came following a royal directive from His Royal Highness King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, which was an approval of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s plans.
The unified number for stranded GCC nationals covers the following countries:
- Bahrain
- Kuwait
- Oman
- Qatar
- The UAE

Air travel in Saudi Arabia

Following the announcement of a 15% VAT refund to all travelers leaving Saudi Arabia in April, the Kingdom has now launched the refund initiative with multiple kiosks at three major airports in the kingdom, including King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. Riyadh Air is set to begin service over the Riyadh to Cairo route very soon.
