Uber released its new feature called ‘Uber Travel’ to make our travel booking experience quicker and easier.
As we enjoy the remainder of the winter season and welcome spring, Uber is helping enrich everyone’s travels by welcoming their new travel feature which grants the users with a better usage experience. Better for your convenience, the new feature’s aim is to help make the booking process easier and more swift for anyone who is planning a holiday.
Uber’s Head of Communications for MENA, Norhern Ali mentioned: “Uber Travel forms an integral part of Uber’s vision to make movement and local and international travel more seamless. We’re excited to introduce Smart Itineraries to the MENA region, as an enhanced offering to help ease the stress of travel, and we will continue to expand our services to accommodate increasing travel needs through the power of our technology.”
This feature allows users to connect their Gmail itinerary to the mobile application of Uber and this will lead to an easier process to coordinate rides, flights, hotels, and restaurant reservations. Smart Itineraries is part of the Uber Travel Suite of Offerings globally which with a range of features will be launched soon in the region.
As soon as you link your uber profile with your own Google account by clicking on ‘Travel’ in the Uber mobile application, you will find a list of upcoming plans and that allows people to book an uber, making your travel experience even more smooth and coherent.

- Open the Uber app and tap “Travel” followed by “Get Started” then “Sign in” with your Google account
- Opt-in to give Uber-AwardWallet permission access your bookings
- Google users, check the permissions box and Microsoft users app “Allow” to continue.
- You will soon see all your upcoming trips appear right in the Uber app
The riders will earn 10% back in Uber Cash every time they book a ‘Reserve ride’ with Uber Travel.
If you ask Uber, they would tell you their vision is to provide a variety for all their users and now for every traveler and their needs. The new feature is the newest addition to Uber’s product portfolio.
