What to expect at The Sound of Harmony 2025

The exhibition takes you on a captivating journey through five themed sections, each exploring a different side of Chinese music. From ancient instruments created to connect with nature to the interplay of regional and exotic tones, every section uncovers how music shaped rituals, social life, and cultural expression across centuries.
Beyond the instruments themselves, the exhibition dives into the philosophical and spiritual significance of music in Chinese civilization. It shows how music served as a language of harmony, contemplation, and human connection, offering insights into values and traditions that still resonate today.
The event also highlights the Museums Commission’s efforts to strengthen cultural ties between Saudi Arabia and China. By celebrating shared values and fostering dialogue, the exhibition becomes more than just a display of artifacts, it’s a bridge for international exchange and mutual appreciation of heritage.
