Thought that the Saudi winter was done? Think again because the National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has predicted huge temperature drops in Saudi.
According to the Saudi Gazette, three regions of the Kingdom will get the brunt end of the low temperatures, while the rest must remain cautious.
The lowered temperatures will be accompanied by fog and dust-rising winds.
So, do not pack away those heaters just yet. Here is everything to know about the upcoming downturn.
Temperature drops in Saudi predicted

Winter in Saudi Arabia is a welcome break from the summer heat, rolling in from October to March with cooler weather, rain, hail, and even the occasional snowfall. It is the season everyone looks forward to, bringing fresh air, dramatic skies, and a whole new side of the Kingdom to enjoy.
Temperature drops in Saudi predicted location
The National Center for Meteorology is forecasting a sharp dip in temperatures across Tabuk, Al Jouf, and the Northern Borders.
What to expect from the temperature drops in Saudi
Frost may form in parts of the Tabuk highlands, while fog is expected in areas of the Eastern Province, Jazan, and the Asir highlands. Dusty winds are also likely in parts of Madinah, Hail, Qassim, and Riyadh.
Over the Red Sea, winds are expected to blow from the northwest to north in the northern and central areas, picking up speeds of 25 to 45km per hour. In the south, winds will shift from southeasterly to easterly at lighter speeds, becoming stronger near the Gulf of Aqaba and Bab el Mandeb. Sea conditions will range from moderate to rough, with higher waves expected in exposed areas.
Conditions in the Arabian Gulf will be calmer by comparison, with northerly to northwesterly winds across the northern and central parts and lighter winds in the south. Wave heights will generally stay between half a meter and two meters, with moderate seas in the north and central areas and lighter conditions toward the south.
