The kitchen at Soraya Abu Dhabi has been busy coming up with fresh ideas, and the anniversary week is the perfect time to share them. The new dishes mix comfort with creativity, bringing together Persian tradition with a playful twist.
On the special birthday menu, you’ll find:
- Abdough Khiar — a cool yogurt soup with cucumber, walnuts, and a frozen melon touch.
- Nan-e Za’atar and Nan-e Goost — two fresh flatbreads, one rich with herbs and sesame, the other topped with spiced lamb.
- Persian Keema Pav — minced chicken with warm spices, tucked into soft rolls brushed with saffron butter.
- Crispy fried okra with house masala and red shatta yogurt.
- A bright watermelon salad with orange blossom, feta, olives, and sweet dates.
- And, of course, Tahdig — the signature crispy rice topped with pickled barbaries and fried onion.
These dishes highlight what Soraya Abu Dhabi does best: bringing new life to classic flavors with simple, seasonal ingredients.
Meet the Chefs Taking Over Soraya Abu Dhabi
As part of the celebrations, two guest chef events will add something extra to the week.
First, Chef Khaled from Burnt Butter is back after a sold-out dinner earlier this year. Known for his soulful Emirati dishes, he’s bringing his fire-cooked flavors and creative take on tradition back to Soraya Abu Dhabi for one special night.
Then, the UAE Twin Chefs, Abdulrahman and Maitha, will take over the kitchen. As the youngest certified chefs in the country and founders of Savor and Napoli, their bold, cross-cultural menus are sure to bring a fun energy to Soraya Abu Dhabi. With a mix of Italian and Emirati cooking, expect a menu full of the unexpected.
