Get ready to vacation in style.
The Red Sea is one of Saudi’s most ambitious and exciting projects. The regenerative tourism destination is all about diversifying the national economy while offering a luxuriously chic space.
Set to be the centerpiece of the destination, the first Shura Islands resorts are opening in the coming weeks. What’s more, Saudi’s first-ever golfing island will also cut the red ribbon around the same time.
The island integrates luxury resorts, residences, and leisure offerings with regenerative design and world-class sustainability standards.
By the end of 2025, three resorts will begin welcoming you and your loved ones to the naturally dolphin-shaped island.
Three Shura Islands resorts opening in 2025

Shura Island is the star of Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Project, tucked into a dreamy 92-island archipelago between Umluj and Al-Wajh. Just minutes from the shore, it’s surrounded by coral reefs, seagrass, and mangroves, home to some of the most stunning marine life you’ll ever see.
What makes it even cooler? Shura is built to blend right in with nature. Its design is inspired by the coral reefs, the buildings use smart, eco-friendly materials, and the whole island runs on renewable energy. It’s luxury travel with a light footprint.
Shura Islands resorts opening in 2025
By the end of 2025, you will be able to check into the following properties,
InterContinental, The Red Sea

A five-star barefoot luxury escape with 178 rooms and 32 suites, five dining venues, a spa, event spaces, and a design inspired by the surrounding coral reefs.
SLS The Red Sea

SLS Red Sea will sit all pretty on the coastline. A memorable vacation on the Red Sea is what SLS Resort guarantees. Drawing inspiration straight from nature, the one-story property will be incorporated into its surroundings and will represent the “coral bloom” concept. Its earthy tone pattern provides a calming background that prepares the viewer for an unmatched level of luxury by the sea.
SLS will bring signature style and glamour to 150 rooms, including 12 suites and 15 villas, spanning over 800,000 square feet of single-story accommodations.
The Red Sea Edition

A sanctuary of modern luxury and island serenity, the resort offers 240 elegantly designed rooms, including 53 suites, a world-class spa, multiple dining destinations, and access to watersports and golf.
Shura Links

Say hello to Shura Links. It’s Saudi Arabia’s first-ever 18-hole island course, and it’s bringing serious wow factor, think holes that play along the water, sweeping marina views, and fairways framed by the Red Sea. Designed to keep every round fresh and exciting, the course builds to an unforgettable finale right below the clubhouse.
But this isn’t just golf, it’s golf done differently. Only a fraction of the site is manicured turf, with the rest blending into the island’s natural dunes. Add in smart water reuse and even seaweed-fed greens, and you’ve got a course that’s as eco-conscious as it is world-class. Shura Links is where luxury play meets sustainability.
Shura Island is at the heart of RSG’s west coast tourism megaproject and a shining example of Vision 2030 in action. Running entirely on renewable energy with smart, eco-friendly water systems, it’s where sustainability meets unforgettable island experiences.
