Winters in Riyadh have everyone pulling out their farwahs and velvet abayas. With the temperatures dropping as low as 5°C, the need to keep warm is at an all-time high.

Enter Shetana. The Diriyah staple is back once more and is serving steaming plates of authentic Saudi flavors for you to indulge in.

Inspired by the spirit of the desert, you and your loved ones can enjoy this unique atmosphere complete with traditional live music that showcases the beauty of Saudi hospitality.

On until the first week of January, 2025, there are a total of five zones for you to check out at the open-air attraction.

The foodie festival is a luxurious dining experience that features some of the most famous Saudi winter dishes. You can enjoy authentic flavors in an enchanting space with live music offering lilting notes that create a one-of-a-kind experience.

The open-air attraction has taken over Mayadeen in the beating heart of the Kingdom, Diriyah.

You will be able to experience the culture of the foodie celebrations until Tuesday, January 7, 2025. You can tuck into a wide selection of winter dishes daily from 6pm to 7.30pm and 8pm-11.30pm.

  • Welcome Tent

The Welcome Tent is the starting point of the journey. The experience kicks off with a traditional serving of Saudi coffee and tea before being seated.

  • Live Cooking Area

You can experience watching the Saudi chefs cook winter specialties dishes live and enjoy a tasting session.

  • The Bonfire

You will be able to tuck into a curated winter menu while you are seated around the bonfire.

  • The Stage

To compliment your experience, there will be Saudi musical band playing your favorite traditional songs.

Things to do in Riyadh

If you are looking for things to do during the last two weeks of the year, you should take the Riyadh Metro down to KAFD where the first-ever International Festival of Traditional Games is taking place. Boulevard World has opened the ski ledge-like attraction of Courchevel where you can experience the first (fake) snow of the season. If you are looking to bond with your fur babies, Luca Park is now open at The Groves.
