As the situation in the Middle East continues to unfold, one of the most devastating fallouts has been the grounding of flights, leaving thousands of passengers stranded.

Airline interruption and suspension have caused many travelers stress and left them in limbo. Saudi Arabia has designated a unified emergency contact number to help deal with the crisis.

Now, Saudia flight cancellations have been extended once again. Previously the cancellations had been extended to last until Sunday, March 8. While the national carrier has resumed partial service to Dubai from Riyadh and Jeddah, five destination services will still remain suspended.

The airline stated that its Emergency Coordination Center is monitoring the situation with the help of relevant authorities to ensure passenger and crew safety.

Following the announcement of a 15% VAT refund to all travelers leaving Saudi Arabia in April, the Kingdom has now launched the refund initiative with multiple kiosks at three major airports in the kingdom, including King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. Riyadh Air is set to begin service over the Riyadh to Cairo route very soon.
