Riyadh Season 2025 is about to echo with the sounds of thunderous slaps being delivered. An ultimate showdown of slap-fighting is coming back this year as Saudi UFC Power Slap 2025 has just been confirmed.
Part of an expanded agreement with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, the Season will host the second-ever slap-a-thon in the Kingdom and it is set to be as bizarre as the first one.
The exciting announcement came via Riyadh Season’s official Instagram account, but the return of the prodigal slap event is not the only important bit.
We also know that tickets for Power Slap 17 have gone live.
The smack-tacular event is one of the many events that UFC hosts with Riyadh Season which go beyond the confines of the octagon.
So grab your earplugs and rein in your curiosity. Here is a rundown of returning event.
Saudi UFC Power Slap 2025
Fight Nights, when MMA fighters compete in an octagon, is the main event format of the American-born UFC. However, in recent years, the championship has introduced other events like the Power Slap. The slapping extravaganza features coin-tosses, three- to five-round matches and even weight classes. It is truly a bonkers event.
Power Slap is exactly what it sounds like. Athletes line-up from across each other under the harsh lights of the stage and slap their opponents as hard as they can in an effort to knock them out. Last one standing wins.
First held in the Kingdom in January 2025, the slapstick fight is returning for a thunderous night this October under the moniker of Power Slap 17. Yes, we are set to get a second Power Slap fight night in the same year.

The pink-cheeks and jaw-shattering marvel will take place at the Mohammed Abdo Arena inside Boulevard City.

Tickets for Power Slap 17 have gone live on webook.com starting from SAR35. There are a total of seven categories to choose from.

Headlining Power Slap 17 will be Anthony “Babyface” Blackburn (5W-0L-1D) as he fights for the welterweight world championship against Cole “Full Send” Young (2W-2L-1D).
Also fighting on the night are Dorian “Disturbing the Peace” Perez (gW-3L-0D) as he gets into a slap fight with Zakir “Iron Man” Naimanbaye (1W-0L-0D) currently ranked #5 in the world for UFC Power Slap heavyweight.
The featherweight division will also be seeing some action as Sheena “The Hungarian Hurricane” Bathory takes on Robyn “The Belter” Wereshchuk.

Who will slap whom first is decided via coin toss. This is done because there have been knockouts in round one and going first is considered to be quite advantageous. There are three to five rounds and each athlete is allowed to hit with an open palm while the opponent has to stand still with their hands behind their back. No strike can go past the chin and using the power of your hips and legs is not allowed.
There are a total of five weight classes for men including welterweight, middleweight, light heavyweight, heavyweight and super heavyweight. Women have one weight class for now, the featherweight but there have been talks of adding more classes.
