Grab your umbrellas, Saudi turbulent weather warnings have been made.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued the alert after releasing a detailed weather map.

According to the centre, the Kingdom is in for about a week of moderate to heavy rainfall.

Beginning from Saturday, December 6, the map has revealed that Makkah will experience the brunt end of the system.

The General Directorate of Civil Defense is reminding everyone to stay safe during heavy rains.

Winter season in the Kingdom brings snow, rain, hailstorms, and more. Beginning from October, the Saudi winter ends in March and offers a much needed respite from the oppressive heat of summer.

According to the Saudi Gazette, The Makkah region is in for some serious weather, with moderate to heavy rain that could spark flash floods, hail, and gusty winds. Cities like Makkah, Jeddah, Taif, and Rabigh should be on high alert.

Other areas in Makkah region including Al-Kamil, Al-Jumum, Al-Lith, Al-Qunfudhah, and Turbah will also feel the impact, so it’s best to stay cautious and avoid flood-prone spots.

In Riyadh, moderate rain is expected across Al-Dawadmi, Afif, Al-Zulfi, Al-Majma’ah, Al-Ghat, Shaqra, Thadiq, and Rumah. Drivers and pedestrians should take care in wet conditions.

The north and central regions like Tabuk, Madinah, Al-Jouf, Northern Borders, Hail, Qassim, the Eastern Region, and Al-Baha may see heavier rainfall with possible flash floods, hail, and strong winds, so be prepared.

Meanwhile, the Asir and Jazan regions will experience steady moderate rain throughout the day. It’s a good time to enjoy the weather safely while staying informed through official updates.
