The National Center for Wildlife (NCW) has issued the Kingdom’s inaugural shark cage diving license and it was granted to the Red Sea.

The premium conservation-tourism destination offers controlled cage diving experiences where you can observe the majestic sharks in their natural habitat.

Strict guidelines will be observed to ensure that the experience remains in-line with the Red Sea’s conservation efforts.

Saudi Arabia just made a splash. NCW, in partnership with the Saudi Water Sports and Diving Federation, has issued the Kingdom’s first-ever license for shark cage diving. The move opens the door to thrilling, responsible marine adventures, allowing you to safely observe sharks in their natural habitat while keeping marine life protected. Designed with sustainability front and center, the initiative follows strict national marine regulations to ensure ecotourism enhances the experience, without disturbing the ocean’s delicate ecological balance.

According to the Saudi Gazette, the experience is currently limited to Ras Habita reserve in the Red Sea. Ras Hatiba Reserve is one of Saudi Arabia’s key marine conservation gems, home to rich sea life and delicate ecosystems worth protecting. With licensed cage diving now in place, the experience adds an exciting new way to explore the underwater world while staying fully regulated and eco-friendly.
