Since the second week of February, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been getting ready for the Holy Month and lighting Ramadan lights. Because it is thought that the Prophet Muhammad, Peace be Upon Him, received the revelation of the Qur’an during this month, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar is regarded as the holiest month in Islam.

Saudi Ramadan working hours for the private sector

The ministry has announced that this year all private sectors are meant to work for six hours only. While most companies follow a flexible schedule for those who are fasting, how your workday is set up for six hours is up to your employer.

The ministry tends to mandate a flexible schedule for employees who are fasting, meaning that they need to fulfill the six-hour requirement between 9am and 5pm. This could mean working from 9am to 3pm, 10am to 4pm, and so on.
