The Kingdom is all about celebrating culture and heritage.
From the colorful and innovative designs at Riyadh Fashion Week to the prestigious Saudi Fashion Awards which featured Zendaya’s designer Law Roach as one of the judges, it is safe to say that fashion and Saudi go hand-in-hand.
Now a brand-new Saudi Fashion District has been announced.
While most of the details are still under wraps, we do know that Four Directions Real Estate Development Company has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Saudi Fashion Commission.
Attended by the CEO of the commission Burak Cakmak, the signing has been strutting about online.
Saudi Fashion District
According to Cakmak, the shiny new Fashion District goes beyond being just an urban development. It is a connected ecosystem designed to support the entire fashion value chain, unlock new space for creativity and investment, and strengthen Riyadh’s role as a global destination for the creative economy.

The district’s exact location has not been revealed yet, but the commission has hinted at it being located near the sprawling King Saud University. Getting there with the Riyadh Metro may be easy.

Tentatively, the district is set to open in 2028, but the year may be changed at a later stage of the development.
What to expect at the Saudi Fashion District
The district will feature fashion show spaces, design and production studios, brand incubators, along with hospitality offerings and flexible workspaces. According to the commission, the project is designed to attract investment and keep pace with the fashion industry’s growth both locally and internationally. It is also set to boost Riyadh’s global profile, supporting wider efforts to build partnerships and accelerate the development of Saudi Arabia’s fashion sector.

Riyadh Fashion Week is always pushing the envelope. After acclaimed English fashion house Stella McCartney closed out last year’s week, Ana Arabia 2025 was inaugurated. The annual event is part of the on-going Riyadh Season celebrations. Elie Saab is also known for stopping by the Kingdom with an awesome 1001 Seasons of Elie Saab fashion show dominating the news cycle in 2024.
