Excited for the Diriyah Art Biennale 2026 but do not wish to wait that long?

Well, you are in luck because the Saudi Museums Commission has just announced Bienalsur 2025.

Yes, you read that right, the fourth edition of the International Contemporary Art Biennial of the South is coming to the Saudi capital and is set to stay for two whole months, giving you enough time to really soak in the culture.

The exhibition, titled ‘Let’s Play: A Labyrinth of Options’ combines art with a playful twist as the interactive display takes you through a journey inspired by Julio Cortázar’s cult novel ‘Hopscotch’.

The exhibition aims to strengthen cultural exchange through art, imagination, and shared creativity.

This year’s edition marks ten years since BIENALSUR’s inception in Buenos Aires, now spanning over 70 cities worldwide, and stands as one of the most geographically expansive and culturally diverse contemporary art biennials.

Bienalsur is back for its tenth anniversary, taking creativity to new heights and new corners of the world. Launched in Buenos Aires, the 2025 edition spans 73 cities and 133 venues across 30+ countries, uniting over 400 artists under one powerful idea: building from uncertainty. This year’s theme, “Building from Uncertainty. For a Contemporary Humanism,” calls on artists to explore today’s biggest questions, our environment, migrations, memory, and the search for connection and meaning in a shifting world. Think of it as a global art conversation where creativity, curiosity, and courage collide to reimagine what art can be and what it can do.
