The 2025 edition was announced on Sunday, October 5, during a press conference at St. Regis in Via Riyadh.
Led by His Excellency Turki Alalshikh, the conference confirmed the return of beloved free zones Riyadh Zoo, Suwaidi Park, as well as the blooming on a brand-new flowers-inspired zone called Boulevard Flowers.

That’s right, coming in all the way from the Big Apple, New York Thanksgiving celebrations staple Macy’s Parade-esque celebrations are coming to Riyadh for the first time ever.

Riyadh Season is the city’s biggest celebration, turning the capital into a non-stop festival of fun. From October to March, Riyadh buzzes with energy as every corner bursts to life with entertainment, culture, and world-class experiences. It’s part of Saudi Vision 2030’s plan to make the city a global hotspot, and it’s been a crowd favorite since its launch in 2019.
Last year, the opening ceremony saw the explosive jabs and tags of Beterbiev and Bivol after a lineup of iconic throwbacks had every one bumping and jumping to the beat lead by Missy Elliot, Clara, and of course Busta Rhymes.
This year, the Season is set to open earlier in the day with a an awesome parade complete with giant balloons.

If you do not plan on attending the opening day parade then we recommend staying away from Hittin, especially Al-Hawyi Street between Kingdom Arena and Boulevard World because that is where the parade will be held.

The opening ceremony will take over the area on Friday, October 10 from 4pm and end at 5.30pm. Doors open at 1pm so hurry up and get in early.
