The Kingdom has welcomed U.S President Donald Trump for his second official foreign visit after being sworn in for the first time.
The streets lined with fluttering Saudi and American flags as well as gridlocks as Riyadh roads closed for Trump’s visit following him touching down in capital on Monday, May 12.
The closures took effect from last night and have people turning and merging onto longer ways to their destinations.

- King Fahd Road (north to south of Khurais Road)
Expect tight security and road closures around key spots like,
- King Abdulaziz International Conference Centre
- The Ritz-Carlton
- Turaif Historic District
- Al-Yamamah Palace
- The Royal Court
- Guest Palaces. West Riyadh
- The Diplomatic Quarter
- Diriyah—will also see partial shutdowns at entry and exit points. Meanwhile, At-Turaif, Bujairi Terrace, and Zallal in Diriyah are off-limits through Wednesday. Plan ahead and expect delays.
Riyadh roads closed for Trump’s visit dates and times
On Tuesday May 13, the aforementioned areas will be closed about 70% to 80% from 8am to 11am, noon to 4.30pm and 6pm to 11pm. For Wednesday, May 14, about 70% to 80% of these roads will be closed from 6am to 6pm.
