The Kingdom has declared that Ramadan will begin from Saturday, March 1.
The excitement and revelry has already taken over the streets of the capital as people step out to cram-in some last minute shopping.
In the hubble-bubble, Riyadh Transport, the official handle of the metro and public transport on social media. has announced Riyadh Metro Ramadan timings on all of its channels.
This was done in an effort to to offer smoother journeys during Ramadan.

Part of the larger King Abdulaziz Project for Riyadh Public transport, the metro has been serving the capital city with six lines, 84 metro stations, 80 bus routes, 2,860 bus stops, and 842 buses. The project aims to accommodate 1.2 million people per day via trains and 500,000 people via buses on a daily basis.

The public transport system will observe the Ramadan timings from Saturday, March 1 until the end of the holy month.

The metro will run from 8am to 2am from Sundays to Thursdays while on Fridays it will zip across town from noon to 3am. If you are hoping to hop on during Saturdays, the trains will be available from 10am to 2am.
The buses will be running daily from 6.30am to 3am.

You can zip around the city on all six major lines connecting some of the most happening and lively areas in the city.
- Blue line: Axis of Al Olaya – Al Batha – Al Hayer roads, with a total length of 38km
- Red line: Axis of King Abdullah Road, with a total length of 25.3km.
- Yellow line: Axis of King Khalid International Airport Road, with a total length of 29.6km.
- Orange Line: Al Madina Al Monawara to Prince Saad bin Abdul Rahman Al Awal road, covers a 40.7-kilometre distance
- Green line: King Abdul Aziz Road, covering a 12.9-kilometre distance
- Purple line: Abdul Rahman bin Aouf road to Shiekh Hassan bin Hussain bin Ali road, covering a 30-kilometre distance
Do not forget, the metro has recently inaugurated a number of brand-new lines on the Orange Line including the Qasr al Hokm station which has taken over social media as possibly the prettiest metro station in Riyadh.
