Well, you are in luck because the Riyadh Metro Ramadan hours for this year have been announced, and spoiler alert, they are longer.

The riveting announcement came via Riyadh Transport’s official Instagram and mentioned that the supporting bus network and buses on demand will also run late into the night for the Holy Month.

As the Kingdom prepares to sight the moon tonight, the capital city is celebrating like Ramadan is already here with Ramadan tents, sales, and more.

So, wear your most comfortable shoes and grab your physical Darb cards to enjoy Park and Ride. Here is everything to know about the new metro hours.

Part of the larger King Abdulaziz Project for Riyadh Public Transport, the metro has been serving the capital city with six lines, over 84 metro stations, 80-plus bus routes, 2,860 bus stops, and 842 buses. The project is constantly improving and expanding with Yellow Line getting a dedicated station for the upcoming Riyadh Expo 2030 as well as the Red Line expanding all the way out to Diriyah. Speaking of expansion, a brand-new metro line has also been announced.

The public transportation network will observe the new Ramadan timings throughout the Holy Month. As soon as the Ramadan crescent is sighted, the new hours of the metro will begin.

During the week, you will be able to catch the metro to and from work without any hassles because the trains will operate from 8am to 2.30am. On Fridays, you will be able to hop on and off the trains from 11am to 3am. On Saturday, from 11am to 2.30am.

Riyadh bus

If you use both the trains and the buses to get around, then worry not because the bus hours have also been expanded to accommodate the new train hours. You’ll be able to go round and around on the Riyadh buses from 6.30am to 3am.

Riyadh Bus on Demand

From Sunday to Thursday, you’ll be able to get a bus on demand from 7am to 3am. On Fridays, the service will be available from 10.30am to 3.30am and on Saturdays, it will be available until 3am.

Ramadan in Saudi

Since this is the first winter Ramadan in almost three decades, Saudi Ramadan 2026 mosque guidelines have been announced to make your supplications easier. Private sector workers will only be required to work six hours a day, while all schools will be in session for five hours each day.
