Something amazing is brewing in Al Khobar. ‘Passport to the World’ is a grand cultural event that will feature the food, music and entertainment from four countries: Sudan, Philippines, India and Bangladesh. Celebrity guests from these nations are also set to fly in to perform and reach out to the communities in the Eastern Province. During the formal launch held recently, the organizers presented to the press, businesses and social media personalities the event details and venue layout.

The main concept of ‘Passport to the World’ is to provide a delightful opportunity for expatriates in Saudi Arabia to reconnect with their roots without traveling and share their unique traditions, customs, and stories. Aimed at fostering a deeper sense of community and belonging, the event aims to promote the significance of culture and heritage remains wherever you are in the world.

The event is an opportunity for those in the Eastern Province and nearby cities to meet their favorite stars. Other nationalities on the other hand get the chance to learn about the rich cultural heritage of the featured countries through live performances, culinary delights, and engaging activities that promise to captivate attendees.

The anticipation for the event continues to build up on social media as announcements on artists and personalities are made by the organizers and the press. Some of the best of Sudan – Shukr Allah, Shancoty, Mohammed Issa, Marsimba, Lil Eazy, Jamal Farfour, Insaf Madani and Haram Alnoor are scheduled to grace the occasion on the first week of ‘Passport to the World’.

The Indian community are looking forward to dazzling shows from their very own – Aaryan Tiwari, Ahmed Sultan, Akasa, Arman Malik, Biswaa, Divya S. Menon, Emiway Bantai, Javed Ali, Pooja Khandel, Preety Bhalla, Priyanshi Srivastava, Rishi Singh, Sajili Saleem, Surbhi Jyoti, and Varsha Prasad.

Meanwhile, Filipinos are set to see their favorite artists such as Erik Santos, Anthony Rosaldo, Carmelle Collado, Daryl Ong, Janine Berdin, Jennie Gabriel, Julie Anne San Jose, Lyca Gairanod, Lyka Estrella, Nicole Anderson, Vivoree Esclito, Xiao Yunnah, and The Saudi Pinoy.

From Bangladesh, some of the personalities that will perform are Ayasha Jebin Dipa, Akash Mahmud, Arman Alif, Beauty Khan, Imran Mahmudul, Kona, Mila, Milon Mahamud, Nagar Baul James, Rabiul Haque Zaman, Ruhani Salsabil, Safa, and Shilpi Akter Riya.

Passport to the world: Schedule and Booking

Passport to the World is open to everyone eager to explore the rich treasures of global cultures. Entry is free via the Webook app. There is an option to purchase a VIP ticket for SAR 100. At the press launch, the organizers explained that this ticket includes some hospitality and easy access to the gates.

The event will spotlight different countries on the following dates:

  • Sudan: April 9–13
  • India: April 16–19
  • Philippines: April 23–26
  • Bangladesh: April 30–May 3

Taking place at Askan Park, Al Khobar, the event runs:

  • Weekdays: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Weekends: 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM
