Attack of the arts.
The Diriyah Art Futures is known for bringing unique exhibitions to the Kingdom.
The first-ever digital art hub in MENA, the space is now gearing up for its second art show, the Maknana exhibition.
Titled ‘Maknana: An Archaeology of New Media Art in the Arab World’, the show will feature over 40 artists from MENA.
The 89-day exhibit will offer a window into perspective of the said artists and how they interact with technology and creatively express themselves.
Maknana Exhibition 2025

“Maknana” means automation in Arabic and highlights how artists engage with technology—navigating, repurposing, and challenging it—to realize their creative vision.
From video art and experimental films to generative systems and expanded media, Maknana explores how artists use technology as a tool and medium for creative expression, offering insight into their thought processes and innovation.
Maknana Exhibition location
The new exhibition will be hosted by Diriyah Art Futures in Diriyah. The digital hub is across the street from Bab Samhan, A Luxury Collection Hotel.
