Riyadh Season 2024 is bringing bigger everything including fights. One of the first fights to be announced for the Season, Latino Night is happening in less than two months.
The official announcement came through Turki Alalshikh’s X where he confirmed the fiery boxing event that is all about celebrating Latino boxing talent.
Held at the newly constructed The Venue, the fight will see history-making WBA cruiserweight world champion Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez of Mazatlan, Mexico challenge WBO cruiserweight world champion Chris Billam-Smith to become undisputed in the weight class.
Billam-Smith has successfully defended his title three consecutive times and is looking to keep Zurdo from becoming the undisputed cruiserweight champion.
That is not all though, the November fight night will be co-headlined, bringing two main events in a single night. The fights will be broadcast globally for free so anyone from anywhere can tune in.
The showdown promises blood, sweat and flying teeth as fighters float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. Translation, you have to watch the action unfold ringside.

Latino Night
Riyadh Season is collaborating with leading boxing promotional company Golden Boy to organize Latino Night. Owned and operated by six-division, 10-time world champion Hall of Famer Oscar De La Hoya, this is Golden Boy’s first fight in Saudi. The fight night is part of a broader partnership.

Latino Night fights

The main fight will feature Zurdo and Billam-Smith circle the ring in an attempt to take the other one out.
Zurdo made history when he became the first Mexican super middleweight and cruiserweight world champion. Now he has his sights set on the cruiserweight division. Billam-Smith on the other hand is an English professional boxer who has held the WBO cruiserweight title since 2023 and has held the European, British, and Commonwealth cruiserweight titles between 2019 and 2022.
Former US Olympian and unified champion Jose Ramirez of California will be taking on the undefeated title contender and current No. 1 WBO-ranked Arnold Barboza Jr in a 12-round WBO super lightweight world title eliminator fight. Ramirez and Barboza will be co-headlining the fight night.
Mexico’s William “El Camaron” Zepeda will challenge former American IBF world champion Tevin “2X” Farmer of Pennsylvania. It will be a 10-round lightweight fight.
In association with Miguel Cotto Promotions and defending his WBO Minimumweight World Championship for the fourth time, the history-making Puerto Rican Oscar “El Pupilo” Collazo will measure up against Mexico’s Edwin “Canito” Cano. The world title bout will feature 12 rounds.
The showcase will be opened with a 12-round WBA super lightweight eliminator fight between Mexico’s Oscar “La Migrana” Duarte and No. 1 WBA-ranked Kenneth “Bossman” Sims Jr. Illinois.
