Olé, olé, olé.

Say hola to the Saudi Pro League, Martínez!

The Saudi football silly season has been in full-swing since the Knights of Najd decided to extend Ronaldo’s contract until 2027.

Following Liverpool’s Darwin Núñez’ transfer to Al-Hilal on Saturday, August 9, Al Nassr has acquired a new player.

The yellow and blue team is once again dominating the headlines as Iñigo Martínez signs with Al Nassr.

Not only did the KAFD-backed team welcome Barcelona F.C’s former center-back Iñigo Martínez, they have already given him a position on the starting squad.

Martínez was operating as a free agent allowing SPL to sign him without a hefty transfer fee.

Iñigo Martínez is a Spanish centre-back known for his grit and big-game presence. He broke through at 20 with Real Sociedad, playing 238 games and netting 17 goals before a €32 million move to rivals Athletic Bilbao in 2018, where he won the Supercopa de España and reached two Copa del Rey finals.

In 2023, he joined Barcelona and helped secure a domestic treble in the 2024–25 season. A Spain international since 2013, Martínez has built a career on consistency, passion, and clutch performances.
