Giant at RSIFF 2025 is set to deliver a knockout opening as the Red Sea International Film Festival kicks off its fifth edition in Jeddah.

Giant tells the remarkable true story of British-Yemeni boxing champion Prince Naseem “Naz” Hamed, portrayed by Amir El Masry, and his deep connection with Irish boxing trainer Brendan Ingle. From his modest beginnings in Sheffield to his electrifying rise as a world champion, the film charts Naz’s journey from the shadows of adversity to the bright lights of international fame.
Through moments of triumph and turmoil, Giant sheds light on Naseem’s battle against racism and Islamophobia in 1980s and 1990s Britain, his unwavering perseverance, and the mentorship that shaped him. At its core, it’s an inspiring portrait of identity, grit, and glory, a testament to the boy behind the Prince, and one of the greatest showmen the sporting world has ever seen.
