While you will be spending your evenings and nights at the sixth edition of the soon to start Riyadh Season 2025, your mornings and afternoons can be spent in the city of Earth because free entry to Diriyah has just been announced.
For an entire month, you will be able to explore the gorgeous ancient city without having to worry about tickets.
The pocket-friendly announcement came via Visit Diriyah’s official Instagram and has sent the city into a frenzy as people try to get the most out of their days.

Free entry to Diriyah 2025
Diriyah is where Saudi history truly comes alive. Sitting just northwest of Riyadh, this charming town was once the heart of the first Saudi state and the original home of the royal family. It’s packed with stories from the 1700s, when it stood at the center of a growing nation. Today, it’s still buzzing with pride as the seat of the Diriyah Governorate, which also includes nearby gems like Uyayna, Jubayla, and Al-Ammariyyah.
The star of the show is At-Turaif District, the first Saudi capital, which has earned a spot on the UNESCO World Heritage list. It’s a beautifully preserved window into the past, where mudbrick palaces and narrow alleyways tell tales of centuries-old glory. You can even catch a detailed model of the old city at the National Museum of Saudi Arabia, perfect for getting a bird’s-eye view of how it all once looked. Diriyah isn’t just history, it’s a living, breathing story waiting to be explored.
While you normally have to pay SAR50 from 5pm to enter historic Riyadh, free entry to Diriyah for an entire month has been announced, giving you an excuse to re-visit the spot (like we ever need one).
