Launched in 2024, the Esports World Cup has quickly become Riyadh’s ultimate summer gaming takeover, serving up nearly two months of esports, music, and nonstop fun. Featuring weeks of high-stakes battles across the world’s biggest games, a unique cross-game format, and a packed lineup of activities, it’s more than just a tournament, it’s a full-blown festival.
In 2025, over 2,000 players from 200+ clubs competed for the largest prize pool in esports history, with the action wrapping up alongside the New Global Sport Conference. Formerly Gamers8, the EWC is all about fueling passion, breaking records, and turning Riyadh into a global gaming playground for everyone.
The 2026 edition will have athletes turning on their gaming consoles from Monday, July 6 with the final clubs facing-off each other one last time on Sunday, August 23.

Get ready to walk away with a total of USD75,000,000 at the end of the championship. We did say it was the largest in the cup’s history.
2025 saw a over USD70,000,000 being awarded to the winners and top performers. That number has been increased by about four million dollars for this year.

For the 2025 edition, the world cup’s pot was separated into club championships, game championships, MVP awards and qualifier awards.
- Club Championship: USD27 million had been set aside for the top 16 performing clubs, with the leading club earning USD7 million.
- Game Championships: Over USD38 million went to winners and high-finishers across the 25 tournaments and 24 game titles.
- MVP Awards: Around USD450,000 had been earmarked for standout players across all competitions.
- Qualifier Rewards: More than USD5 million was allocated to the “Road to EWC” qualifiers, giving players and teams additional opportunities to earn and advance.
