After an uber successful debut in May, 2025, Downtown Design Riyadh 2026 seemed like an inevitability and it was, because the fair was set to return in February of this year.
However, the second edition of the fair will now return to the Saudi capital in September instead.
The Downtown Design Riyadh 2026 reschedule was first reported by Arab News.
Organised by the Ministry of Culture, the event brought together international design brands and experts while also spotlighting Saudi creativity.

Downtown Design Riyadh, the Kingdom’s first premium design fair, is where global brands meet Saudi’s creative scene. In partnership with the Architecture and Design Commission of the MOC, it shines a spotlight on standout designs and limited-edition pieces from both international and regional studios.
The 2025 edition spanned four days, featuring a mix of big names like Natuzzi and Iwan Maktabi, up-and-coming local studios, and internationally recognized platforms such as Collectional, Cosentino, and Maison Louis Drucker.

The returning fair will take over JAX District once more and bring three days of nonstop fun for design lovers.

Next year, you’ll be exploring international and regional pieces from Tuesday, September 15 to Friday, September 18.

What to expect at Downtown Design Riyadh 2026
Not much is known about the upcoming edition but if it is anything like the 2025 version, then you’ll be seeing mind-boggling pieces from eight international houses alongwith vernacular installations inspired by Najdi architecture. There will also be limited-edition designs and immersive installations and urban interventions. Last year, a glow-in-the-dark experience also lit up the district.
Riyadh and art
Annual art events Noor Riyadh and the AlUla Art Festival are definite must-visits when it comes to art in Saudi. There is also the Diriyah Arts Biennale which is poised for a colorful return in 2026.
