Following in the UAE’s footsteps, the Astronomy and Space Sciences Department at King Abdulaziz University has soft launched the Ramadan countdown by announcing that it may begin in February of next year.

First prediction of dates for Ramadan Saudi Arabia 2026

According to experts at King Abdulaziz University’s Astronomy and Space Sciences Department, Ramadan 2026 is expected to start on either Wednesday, February 18 or Thursday, February 19. If the month runs for 29 days, it would wrap up on March 19, with Eid Al-Fitr kicking off on Friday, March 20. But if Ramadan lasts the full 30 days, then Eid celebrations would begin on Saturday, March 21 instead.
Keep in mind that these are prediction and not exact dates. Those can only be determined by the sighting of the crescent moon.
