Canelo Alvarez Riyadh Season deal 2025: Fighting out of Riyadh Season’s corner!
The Season is no stranger to putting on fantastic boxing events. From the highly anticipated Fury v Uysk rematch to the Bivol v Beterbiev bout that is set to close out Riyadh Season 2024, boxing and Riyadh Season have been almost synonymous this year.
So, its no surprise that one of the most decorated athletes from the sport has signed a massive deal with the Season.
Mexican boxer Canelo Alvarez will bring his signature moves like that of a butterfly and stings like that of a bee to not one or twice, but a whopping four times.
That’s right, the multiple world championships in four weight classes holder has signed on to headline four bouts with the first one set for May of this year.

Santos Saúl Álvarez Barragán, also known as Canelo Alvarez, is a professional boxer from Mexico. He has won numerous world titles in four different weight classes, ranging from light middleweight to light heavyweight, including lineal titles in two of them and unified titles in three of them. Up until July 2024, Álvarez was the only boxer in history to hold the title of undisputed super middleweight champion, having done so in 2021. Additionally, he has been the super middleweight champion of Ring magazine since 2020.
After some speculation about Alvarez’s next career move, the chairperson of the General Entertainment Authority (GeA) His Excellency Turki Alalshik announced via his Instagram that Alvarez will be participating in four fights.

- May, 2025: Alvarez will be fighting in Riyadh. The fight card has not been confirmed, but there is speculation that he might face off Jermall Charlo or Bruno Surace
- September, 2025: Alvarez will square off against Terrence Crawford in Las Vegas as part of the deal
- February, 2026: TBA
- October, 2026: TBA
Alvarez could be facing off the likes of Dmitry Bivol, Hamzah Sheeraz, or Chris Eubank Jr. for his 2026 bouts.
