Got those Riyadh Book Fair blues? Worry not because the capital is about to get taken over by books once more.
That’s right, the first-ever art book fair is happening in Riyadh. Titled as the Paperback Art Book Fair, the bookish event will be held in Diriyah this November.
The three-day celebration of books is being organized by the Diriyah Biennale Foundation, the team behind iconic arty functions like the Diriyah Biennale.

Professionals, collectors, and enthusiasts will come together at the fair, which is expected to be a creative and cultural event, in the stunning heart of Saudi civilization. Twenty-five artists and collectives, independent presses, bookstores, publishers, zine makers, cultural groups, and academic institutions will be present at the expo.

The fair will run from Friday, November 1 to Sunday, November 3. The timings will be,

Artists from China, Egypt, India, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom are among those who will be attending the event.
Additionally publishing houses the Cairo Art Book Fair, Set Margins’ publications from the Netherlands, and Brownbook magazine, a prominent cultural platform from the Gulf will be in attendence.
Not only that, but the Chinese collective publishing project 51 Personae will also be present, along with Lebanon’s Kaph Books—a specialty store for art books from the Arab world—and Japan’s Shashasha—an online picture and artbook marketplace.

The capital is always packed with fun things to do, including the family-friendly activities at Suwaidi Park. The open-air space will be doing cultural weeks for no less than nine countries. Speaking of countries, do not forget to check out the global village of Boulevard World, which has five new nations, including Saudi Arabia and the continent of Africa. The Riyadh Fashion Week has also strapped on its heels and is preparing to strut into the capital in style later this week.
