Grab your floaties because Aquarabia Qiddiya City is almost here.
After a massive opening celebration on New Year’s for Six Flags Qiddiya City, the city of play is back with yet another exciting announcement.
The first-ever water theme park of the Kingdom, Aquarabia Qiddiya City is aiming to open by March of this year (yes, that early!).
The exhilarating news came via the Almodifer Show on X, formerly Twitter, where the host asked his guest Abdullah Dawood, the Managing Director of the Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC), about the water park’s opening.
Aquarabia has been dominating news cycles and your FYPs since the project was launched back in May 2024. Well, you are one step closer to witnessing the awesome space in person.
Here is everything to know about Qiddiya City’s newest attraction.
Aquarabia Qiddiya City 2026

Aquarabia, sitting all blue and pretty right next to Six Flags Qiddiya City, is an aquatic entertainment world with 22 water rides, including the world’s tallest and fastest water coaster. The park includes eight thematic zones inspired by Saudi’s rich and diverse wildlife. With five world-first attractions and the Kingdom’s first-ever surf pool Surftopia, Aquarabia water park is gearing up to be one of the most exciting openings of the year.

The 22-ride attraction will be taking over the Al Moqbel Palaces location in Qiddiya. If you have been to Six Flags Qiddiya City, you must have seen the water pools form the tops of rollercoasters and other rides.
Aquarabia Qiddiya City date
According to Dawood, the park has set its sights on a post-Eid Al Fitr 2026 opening, right after the Eid break. So, look out for the opening night announcements on Destination KSA during March.

What to expect at Aquarabia Qiddiya City

Aquarabia is making a serious splash with a high-energy mix of thrills and chill. Expect rides packed with sweeping slides, a lazy river, sparkling pools, plus aquatic sports to get your adrenaline pumping. When it’s time to refuel, there are several dining spots and seven retail stores, making it easy to turn a water break into a full day out.
Eight thematic zones will be welcoming you including The Den, Wave Wadi, Camel Rock, Herding Grounds, Arabian Peak, Surf Lagoon, Viper Canyon, and Dhub Grotto.
What really sets Aquarabia apart is its next-level action. It’s home to Surftopia, the Kingdom’s first surf pool, and Saudi Arabia’s top white-water kayaking venue. Add to that dry attractions that make up around 20 percent of the fun, along with live shows and entertainment, and you have way more than just a water park.
The park also scores big on innovation and sustainability. Aquarabia boasts five world-first attractions including Aquaticar®, Junoon Drop, Slithereel, Speedy Jamezales, and Jamal Joom, while recycling more than 80 percent of its operational waste and reusing all water for irrigation and cooling. It’s thrilling, immersive, and refreshingly future-focused.
Junoon Drop, one of the premier attractions at the park, will be the world’s longest and tallest water coaster. Slithereel will have you spinning around the world’s longest slide wheel while Speedy Jamelzales will be the tallest aqualoop on the planet. Challenge your friends to a daring race on what is set to be the longest mat blaster on the globe.
