The annual AlUla Trail Race 2026 has been announced.

Set to be the fourth edition, the two-day trail race will take you all over the very diverse terrain of AlUla.

AlUla Trail Race 2026
Every January, AlUla transforms into a runner’s paradise with the AlUla Trail Race, a high-energy celebration of endurance, community, and stunning scenery. From the epic ultra-marathon to the fun-filled Kids Run, every route takes participants on an unforgettable journey through AlUla’s majestic sandstone canyons and ancient heritage sites.

There are multiple iconic AlUla locations you will be running through during the 2026 race because there are six distances to choose from. Prepare to get distracted by the beauty of Hegra, Elephant Rock, Old Town, and more.

Starting from Thursday, January 22, the race will be spread across two days and end on Friday, January 23.

What to expect at the AlUla Trail Race 2026
Set against a backdrop of golden deserts and lush palm groves, the AlUla Trail Race will take you on an unforgettable adventure through heritage sites and natural wonders. With routes ranging from a breezy 1.6km kids’ dash to a grueling 100km ultra-marathon, there’s a challenge for every kind of runner.
Each course offers its own breathtaking journey, from the glow of the 3km Sunset Run through the AlUla Oasis to the 10km scenic Oasis Run, the 23km Elephant Rock route past the iconic rock formation, the 50km AlMejdar race that draws global competitors, and the ultimate test of endurance, the 100km Hegra Hundred.
