Grab your bishts and pretty abayas, Diriyah Season has launched Al Huwayett in Adhuwaihrah.

The heritage district is known for its cultural and educational character and has played an important role in shaping Diriyah’s urban landscape since its earliest days.

So, it being inaugurated as a Diriyah Season 2025-2026 zone on Saturday, December 27 was not a surprise but a pleasant event, nonetheless.

If you are looking to bond with your family, make some memories, or teach your recently immigrated friends about the Kingdom’s fascinating history, this zone offers cultural experiences for some hands-on fun and learning.

Tucked away in the historic Adhwaihrah district, Al-Huwayett invites families and little explorers into a magical world where Diriyah’s heritage comes alive through play, stories, and imagination. Designed especially for children, this vibrant space blends traditional games, interactive storytelling, and immersive light and sound to create a joyful, hands-on adventure. More than just fun, the district offers a playful way for new generations to connect with Saudi culture, turning history into an experience that’s exciting, memorable, and perfect for the whole family.

The district is one of the two fun zones opening in Adhuwaihrah and has taken over Al Mudhiba in Al Bujairi.

Al Huwayett dates and opening hours

Set to go on until Tuesday, February 17, Huwayett is open from 10am to 10pm from Saturday to Thursday and 1pm to 10pm on Fridays. Last entry is at 9.30pm so keep that in mind when planning your trip.

Tickets for the cultural zone have gone live on webook.com starting from SAR25. If its just you and your little one with you, you can get the combined ticket for SAR80.

Family Alley

The adventure kicks off at Family Alley, a welcoming open space made for play, movement, and downtime. It’s where families ease into the experience, kids run free, and the journey through Diriyah’s story begins on a light, joyful note.

Al-Mawten (Homeland)

Next stop: Al-Mawten, where children step into the role of young builders. Here, they learn about decision-making while discovering how traditional Najdi homes were designed and built, hands-on, imaginative, and full of creative thinking.

Al-Faydah (Growth Oasis)

At Al-Faydah, little explorers connect with the land through an interactive farming experience. From planting and caring for palm trees to learning about local animals, this zone celebrates growth, nature, and Diriyah’s deep agricultural roots.

Al-Nahdah (Community & Trade)

Al-Nahdah brings the buzz of traditional markets and daily life to life. Through playful, interactive activities, children explore the ideas of community, trade, and collaboration, blending imagination with cultural discovery.

Al-Hisn (Strength & Unity)

The journey wraps up at Al-Hisn, an exciting interactive maze designed to spark teamwork, problem-solving, and quick thinking. Set within a space inspired by Diriyah’s architecture and enhanced with sound and light, it’s a fun, challenging finale that ties the whole experience together.

The Season started with massive celebrations of Saudi-Japanese relations with Souq Al Mawasim. It was followed by the Diriyah Storytelling Festival. Currently, Layali Diriyah is in its fifth phase and lighting up your nights with the soft glow of activities.
