Now, the birthplace of the Kingdom has a brand-new artsy space, the Diriyah Art Futures.
What’s more, the stunning place is all set to host its first exhibition, Art Must Be Artificial: Perspectives of AI in the Visual Arts.
The digital art exhibition has been developed by the Saudi Ministry of Culture and will showcase pixel-power. Color us impressed.

Riyadh has welcome plenty of firsts in MENA and now the city is doing the region’s first hub dedicated to new media and digital art. The space promises to put on cutting-edge exhibitions, immersive installations, and merge art and technology in fresh new ways.
The space is ready to host its first digital art exhibition which has been curated by Jérôme Neutres, the former director at the Réunion des Musées Nationaux-Grand Palais, Paris.

Diriyah Art Futures first exhibition date and times
The two-and-a-half-month exhibition will light up with digital art from Tuesday, November 26 to Saturday, February 15, 2025.
The attraction will be open from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 10pm and 3pm to 10pm on Fridays. The exhibition will be closed on Sundays.

Diriyah Art Futures first exhibition activities
The art event is set to explore the evolutionary history of computational art, showcasing iconic algorithmic art spanning from the 1960s to the present day.
Art Must be Digital will also be posing questions around nature, technology and the creative process to help you better understand the complexities and issues of our increasingly digital world.
The exhibition is accompanied by a series of public programmes, including masterclasses, practical workshops, talks and performances.
