The Kingdom is getting its first arthouse cinema and lucky for us it is right here in Saudi’s capital Riyadh. Cinehouse Cinema is set to open its doors next month to the smell of fresh, buttery popcorn and sounds of excited moviegoers.
The movie theater is the brainchild of Saudi film producer Faisal Baltyuor and will be celebrating all things cinema.
Cinehouse will also serve as a hub for local and international filmmakers to help develop the Kingdom’s talent. Baltyour’s passion project will serve as a key piece in the community.
So get ready to be lost in the experimental stories. This is your full guide to the arthouse cinema.
Cinehouse Cinema
The movie theater is set to bring some cozy and nostalgic vibes with its three screens supported by Dolby Atmos sound. The space aims to curate a fun arthouse movie watching experience and will have its own set menu designed by a local chef.
The theater targets nurturing Saudi talent. The venue will be supporting local professionals to cater the Saudi audience.

The old-school space will be taking over Ar Rabi upon opening.

While the official opening date has not been announced, we do know that it is slated to open in October.

The theater’s first movie to be screened is going to 1975’s documentary, “Development of Riyadh City”. What’s more, the documentary has never been screened publicly so this is your chance to watch it for the first time.
