Riyadh Season 2024 is happening and the excitement is palpable.

Announced on X by the chairman of the General Entertainment Authority Turki Alalshikh, the fifth edition of the Season is set to launch on Saturday October 12, 2024. It is only a month away.

Not only that but multiple zones have also been announced with Boulevard World and Wonder Garden set to return to the 2024 Season. What’s more, you can look forward to fresh zones like BLVD Runway and the epic new arena for events The Venue.

Boulevard City, the now permanent zone will also be lighting up with the Season’s festivities including concerts, comedy shows, theatrical productions and more.

First introduced during Riyadh Season 2019, the zone was renamed in 2023. It has also been revamped every year to bring more entertainment. This year, the iconic location has been expanded to accommodate 70 percent more attractions. Go big or go home and the Season always chooses to go big.

Boulevard City 2024

Boulevard City is one of the most popular zones in and out of the Season. The location is always doing something new. From firework shows during the Saudi National Day to dress-up parties to celebrate singers like Miss T-Swift herself, there is never a dull day at the Boulevard.

Previously known as Riyadh Boulevard, the zone was renamed in 2023 after it underwent a massive expansion to bring fresh experiences. It was also made free to enter.

The zone has been lighting up Hittin red, blue, purple and green every year since it opened.

The zone is open daily from 4pm to 2am but it may change during the Season.

Boulevard City 2024 activities

The popular permanent Riyadh Season zone is set to have 70 percent more attractions with 40 new experiences and activities, 25 restaurants and cafés and no less than 11 theatrical productions.

There will also be 12 plays including skits by Karim Abdel, Ahmed Helmy, and more. Remember to grab your earplugs because over 10 concerts are slated to take place at the zone.

Martin Lawrence performance

The zone will host the comedic genius of Hollywood actor Martin Lawrence. The Bad Boys star will take over Al Sheddi Theatre at the zone on Friday October 18 for a side-splitting stand-up comedy show.

Warner Bros. Experience

After a fantastic debut at Jeddah Season, Warner Bros. is coming to the capital. The legendary production house will be bringing a magical Harry Potter experience to the Season. It will also erect the largest pop-up retail space in the world. The Warner Bros. attraction will open on Thursday November 28, 2024.

Hans Zimmer performance

Are you not entertained? German-American film score composer Hans Zimmer is set to take over Boulevard City. Feel the relief that Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions and loyal servant to the true emperor felt when the father to a murdered son and husband to a murdered wife had his vengeance in this life. Swoon to the dreamy Interstellar score and feel the adrenaline pump through you as The Dark Knight soundtrack blares.

The bigger zone will also have anime fans flocking to it because of the Detective Conan experience. If you need to tire your little ones out, Land of the Dreams section will feature Bluey and friends.

Get ready to enter the Jurassic era. Boulevard City is also bringing a giant dinosaur exhibition Olulu with massive, 20-metre-tall dinos on display.
