Glam it up, Saudi Arabia. The first-ever Billboard Arabia Music Awards are happening and lucky for us, it is right here in the capital.

Announced by Billboard Arabia’s Instagram, the event is set to take place later this year and will feature some of the latest and greatest Arab talent.

Held during the first-ever Riyadh Music week, the award show will take over Ar Rafiah.

The awards will honor the trendsetters and rising stars of the Arab music world as it celebrates the past year. You will be seeing awards like Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year and more.

The Kingdom is always hopping and bopping to the tunes of local and international artists. In the capital, MDLBEAST Soundstorm, affectionately known as the loudest weekend in Riyadh, closes out December with a three-day music festival. There is also Desert Sound which is always doing something new and fun while Candlelight Concerts are all about paying homage to iconic composers in dreamy settings. If it is not a big event then some smaller like The Warehouse’s artist tribute nights where performers like Taylor Swift and One Direction are celebrated. The Red Sea city also comes alive with the sound of music for the F1 Grand Prix, Balad Beast and other MDLBEAST-backed parties. Of course, we cannot forget about AZIMUTH where AlUla’s Wadi Al Fann gets taken over by festival goers celebrating Saudi National Day.
