This theme emphasizes the Kingdom’s ambitious goals under the Vision 2030 and highlights its growing influence globally. The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has encouraged all public and private sectors to focus on this theme, showcasing the country’s ongoing progress and achievements 

Festivities and Traditions

Each year, Saudi National Day brings multiple celebrations. From spectacular firework shows and huge parades to traditional performances and attire, the day is filled with countless exciting activities that showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Kingdom. The streets are always lined and busy with cars and residents proudly waving the Saudi flag. In addition, not only are the cars decorated but residents and kids, wear green masks or have face painting done in the colors of the flag, adding to the festive atmosphere.

This year, the Saudi National Day falls on Monday the 23rd, and the holiday extends over two days, with Sunday, September 22nd, and Monday, September 23rd.

Saudi Torch Relay

One of the most anticipated events tied to Saudi National Day is the Saudi Torch Relay, part of the lead-up to the Saudi Games 2024. The relay is currently taking place and will continue until September 22nd, covering over 3,500 kilometers across the Kingdom, including major cities like Riyadh, Khobar, Al Ahsa, Qassim, Madinah, Ha’il, and AlUla. This relay is a grand kickoff to the Saudi Games 2024, set to take place in Riyadh from October 3rd to October 17th.
