The Saudi Games 2024 is almost here, and excitement is building across the Kingdom.
As Saudi Arabia’s largest annual sports event, this year’s games promise to be bigger and better than before. From October 7 to 17, Riyadh will host multiple athletes and spectators for a thrilling two-week celebration of sports.
What Are the Saudi Games?
The Saudi Games are a major multi-sport event that brings together athletes from all around the Kingdom. Now in its third year, the event showcases over 50 sports and is designed to boost the quality of life, inspire the youth, and develop future athletes who can represent Saudi Arabia globally.

The games will feature a wide range of sports, including archery, athletics, and boxing, as well as newer disciplines such as e-sports and padel. Youth sports will also be highlighted, with events like futsal and gymnastics.
Torch Relay
Before the games kick off, the iconic Saudi Games torch will travel across the Kingdom in a 30-day relay covering 3,500 kilometers. The torch began its journey on August 22 in Diriyah and will visit major cities like Khobar, Madinah, and Jeddah before concluding on September 23, coinciding with Saudi National Day. Keep an eye out for the torch as it makes its way through your neighborhood!
Prize Money and Entertainment
The Saudi Games aren’t just about competition—they present great rewards. Winners can take home a share of the SAR 200 million prize pool, with gold medalists in the Senior Competition receiving up to SAR 1 million and Youth Competition winners up to SAR 100,000.
In addition to the sports, the event will feature live entertainment. Following last year’s exciting performances by DJ Snake and David Guetta, the 2024 games will continue to deliver exciting entertainment.
