Sadly, the weather is too hot to go exploring outside and you may not have the budget to travel. It might seem like going back under the bed covers is your only option, but it’s not! There are plenty of opportunities to meet your summer resolution online, at different local venues and abroad through scholarships.

MOOC:

Massive Online Open Courses are free online courses in all fields, provided by excellent institutions as a great way to learn something new or brush up on your skills. Coursera and Stanford Online are good examples.

Learn a new language and maybe next summer travel to a destination where you can practice your newfound skills.

Harvard Summer Program:

The Mohammed Bin Salman MISK Charitable Foundation provides 100 Saudi high school students with a scholarship to enroll in Harvard University’s summer program. Other opportunities are also available from the foundation.
