A well-dressed salad is always the talk of the dining table. Prep your salads with our ultimate salad formula and dressings.

 

The Strawberry Salad

The Ultimate Salad Formula

Leafy greens
+ fruits or veggies
+ something sweet
+ something crunchy
+ grains (optional)
+ the dressing
= a dapper salad!

Sprinkle in moderation on your salads.

Lean on Protein
Whether you choose grilled chicken or salmon, tofu, or nuts or seeds, you’ll release fat and feel more full.

Dressing
• 3 tbs. balsamic vinegar
• 1 tbs. honey
• 1 tsp. dissolved feta cheese
• 1 tsp. of Dijon mustard
• 1/2 tsp. olive oil
• Salt to taste

Tip:
Blend together some of the strawberries, balsamic vinegar, honey, dijon and feta cheese. While the blender is running, slowly drizzle in extra virgin olive oil until the dressing is smooth and emulsified.

The Pumpkin Salad

Dressing
• ½ of an orange, juiced
• ½ of a lemon, juiced
• Olive oil
• Salt to taste
• 1 tbs. mustard seeds
• Balsamic vinegar
• Pinch of cinnamon
• Blue cheese
• 2 tsp. honey

Dressing
• 1 garlic clove, diced
• 1 lemon, juiced
• 1 tbs. mustard
• Salt
• Olive oil

 Fruity Dressings
Fresh fruit juices and mashed or puréed fruits offer creative ways to jazz up any dressing. Fruit-based dressings go well with dark leafy salad greens, such as arugula or spinach, or on any salad topped with toasted nuts.
